Terrorism awareness class offered

Classes on Neighborhood Watch and terrorism awareness will be held today in Deer Park, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Since recent terrorist events, terrorist awareness has been incorporated into Neighborhood Watch, which is a national program aimed at enhancing community safety, sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said in a press release.

The class is open to the public and will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Deer Park City Hall, 316 E. Crawford Ave.

Tattoo parlor burglarized

A north Spokane tattoo parlor was burglarized last week.

The owner of Collage Tattoozz, 1325 N. Ash St., reported to police that about $10,000 worth of equipment was stolen from his business sometime during the evening of Oct. 31 or morning of Nov. 1, police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a press release.

The front door of the business was shattered with a rock.
