Raid nets pot plants
The Sheriff’s Investigative Support Unit found 47 marijuana plants Friday during a raid at a house on East Trent Avenue near Newman Lake, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan. The plants were being grown in soil and many of them were large, Reagan said.
No one was home at the time of the raid, Reagan said.
The Sheriff’s Office has probable cause to arrest two people who live at the house for growing the illegal drug.
Richard N. Huber, 29, was previously arrested in 1999 for growing marijuana at a Spokane Valley home, Reagan said. Besides Huber, detectives also have probable cause to arrest Bridgette Alderton, 22, Reagan said.
Anyone with information on Huber’s or Alderton’s whereabouts should call Crime Check at 456-2233.
