School safety, academics focus of EVSD community workshops

The second Annual East Valley School District High Performing Schools mini-workshops for the community are scheduled for the week of Nov. 15.

The first workshop will take place Nov. 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Trent Elementary School auditorium, 3303 N. Pines Road. The workshop will focus on school safety issues.

The second workshop is scheduled for Nov. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., also at Trent. The focus of the second workshop will be academics.

The community is invited to attend one or both of the workshops.

Community members will have the opportunity to offer input and make recommendations for future school board action items at the workshops, said Judi Christianson, East Valley spokeswoman.

Each workshop is limited to 120 people, so pre-registration is required.
