Mean Green make it 23 straight SBC wins

North Texas’ Sun Belt Conference winning streak is alive and well.

Jamario Thomas ran for a pair of touchdowns, including a 58-yarder with 12:22 remaining in the game, and the Mean Green (5-4, 5-0 SBC) made it 23 straight conference victories with a 27-17 win over the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (4-5, 2-3) in Lafayette, La.

Akron 31, Marshall 28: At Akron, Ohio, Charlie Frye’s three touchdown passes led Akron back from a 21-point deficit and Jason Swiger kicked a 43-yard field goal on the final play after Thundering Herd (5-4, 5-1 MAC) punter Ian O’Connor fumbled, giving the Zips (5-4, 5-1) a 31-28 victory.

Frye was 28 for 45 for 322 yards.
