Pregnant woman assaulted

Spokane police detective Stephanie Barkley is asking for the public’s help in finding a man accused of assaulting his girlfriend who is six months pregnant, police said.

Barkley, who investigates domestic violence cases, has signed an arrest warrant charging 21-year-old Robert Lee Greenamyer with second-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment, police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a press release.

Greenamyer and his 20-year-old girlfriend were having a dispute Tuesday about buying clothing for their unborn child, Cottam said. The victim said Greenamyer became angry and grabbed her in the groin area. He twisted his hand and used enough force to tear her skin, Cottam said.

After the assault, Greenamyer – who is a registered sex offender – ran from the scene, police said.

Officers responded at 11 a.m. Tuesday to the residence, on the 8800 block of North Colton, but could not find Greenamyer or the victim. They later learned that she had been taken to an area hospital for stitches, Cottam said. The woman’s fetus apparently was not injured, Cottam said.

Greenamyer is 5-foot-5 and 155 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He was arrested in 2001 on a charge of first-degree rape of a child, Cottam said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.

Sex offender living in secure facility

A Level III sex offender is now living in Spokane but he remains under 24-hour supervision by the staff of a residence facility, Spokane Police said.

David Lee Robinson, 29, pleaded guilty to raping a 2-year-old girl in 1997 in Spokane County, police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a press release.

Because of his history, Robinson is living in a secure residence that has an alarm, Cottam said.

Robinson stands 5-foot-6, 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He is currently supervised by Community Corrections Officer Bob Bromps of the state Department of Corrections, Cottam said.

Robinson is considered a high risk to re-offend, Cottam said.

Molester living in Valley as transient

A Level III sex offender has moved from Spokane and will now be living in Spokane Valley as a transient, according to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.

Patrick J. Sovereign, 22, now lists his address as transient in Spokane Valley, according to a sheriff’s office release.

Sovereign was convicted in 1995 of first-degree child molestation. The victim was a 6-year-old boy. Then in 1997, Sovereign was convicted of indecent liberties in Spokane County. In that case, the victim was an adult female.

Sovereign was a juvenile at the time of both of those offenses, according to the press release.

In 2002, Sovereign was convicted of third-degree assault against a firefighter. He is not under supervision by the state Department of Corrections.

He is not wanted by local law enforcement at this time.

Sovereign stands 5-foot-11, 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He has one tattoo that says: “I Love M.I. M.I. 4 Ever.”

She is expected to make a full recovery.
