Twins 6, Blue Jays 5: At Toronto, pinch-hitter Matthew LeCroy hit a grand slam in the ninth inning to give Minnesota a win over Toronto. Torii Hunter, Michael Ryan and Henry Blanco singled off Toronto closer Terry Adams (3-3) before LeCroy came to the plate in place of Alex Prieto.

Red Sox 4, Devil Rays 1: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Curt Schilling allowed one run in seven innings, and Manny Ramirez hit a two-run homer to lead Boston over Tampa Bay.

White Sox 15, Indians 3: At Cleveland, Frank Thomas had five RBIs and Paul Konerko added four to back Scott Schoeneweis, leading Chicago to a win over Cleveland.

Royals 5, Rangers 3: At Arlington, Texas, Juan Gonzalez hit a three-run homer against his former team, Jimmy Gobble held the Texas offense in check and Kansas City beat the Rangers.

Athletics 6, Tigers 2: At Oakland, Calif., Bobby Kielty hit two home runs and drove in four runs, and Jermaine Dye also homered to lead Oakland over Detroit.

Yankees 4, Angels 2: At Anaheim, Calif., Jon Lieber pitched into the eighth inning and Jason Giambi hit a two-run homer in his return to the lineup as New York beat Anaheim.
