Nottingham allowed just one run on three hits and two walks through 6 2/3 innings of work. The lefthander struck out 10.

Spokane starter Mark Roberts (0-1) was roughed up early and sent to the showers with two outs in the fourth inning. Roberts surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and three walks. He fanned five.

The Indians lone run came in the top of the fourth inning.
