Roosevelt History Celebration – At 1 p.m. Dr. Rodney Frey, Professor of American Indian Studies and Anthropology from the University of Idaho will present “American Indian Studies,” at the Wallace District Arts Center, 612 Bank St. At 4 p.m., Dennis Colson, UI professor of law, will speak on “Judge William Clagett,” at 7:30 p.m. Stephen Pyne, author and professor from Arizona State University will present “Year of Fires, The Story of the Great Fires of 1910,” at the Wallace Elks club upstairs. All events are free.
Fourth annual Veterans Benefit Jam – At the pavilion behind the American Legion in Athol, from noon-10 p.m. The jam is free, but donations collected benefit local veterans families. Information: 683-2614 or 640-6667.
