There’s still time to vote for your favorite moose among the colorful herd that’s brightening up street corners all around the Coeur d’Alene area.

If you missed last week’s Handle Extra, you can still visit our online gallery displaying all 26 moose at www.spokane7.com/arts/moose and cast your vote online. If you know what moose you like, but don’t have Internet access, call Linda Ball at 765-7129 and she’ll cast a vote for you.

The No Moose Left Behind Public Art Project is a fund-raiser for the EXCEL Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the mission to support innovative educational projects within the Coeur d’Alene School District. The 26 life-sized Fiberglas moose each was adopted by a sponsor, individualized by a local artist and will be auctioned off Sept. 25 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

The winner of The Spokesman-Review’s moose contest will be featured in a July 4 article by Cynthia Taggart appearing in The Spokesman-Review’s Handle section. Handle Extra will announce the winner next week.

The moose polls close at midnight Sunday, so log on to www.spokane7.com/arts/moose today and cast your vote!
