Book tells you best Oregon Coast photo spots

The Spokesman-Review

The Oregon Coast offers some stunning scenery, but taking it home with you in pictures isn’t always as easy as it might look.

That’s the idea behind “The Photographer’s Guide to the Oregon Coast: Where to Find Perfect Shots and How to Take Them,” a new book by veteran outdoor photographers and writers David Middleton and Rod Barbee (Countryman Press, $16.95).

The 96-page, full-color paperback offers detailed directions and advice on prime photo spots from A to B — Astoria to Brookings, that is, and all points in between. Special sections deal with such topics as whale watching, tide pools and the authors’ favorite spots.
