The junior and senior high youths of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8441 N. Indian Trail Road, have found a unique fund-raiser for their mission trip to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, next summer.

Under the cover of darkness, groups of four or five youth group members will place flocks of pink flamingos in unsuspecting recipients’ yards. The flamingos generally stay in the yards for two or three days before migrating to the next recipient’s yard.

If you would like to send a flock to a special someone, call Bonita at 465-2799. Donations are requested.

Proceeds will help fund the group’s mission trip, where they will help people in Puerto Rico who need help with minor home repairs such as painting, roof work, and deck and wheelchair ramp construction.
