A young woman leaving NorthTown Mall on Friday afternoon had her purse snatched, Spokane police reported.

According to the police report, the woman was talking on her cell phone near the J.C. Penney store when two black men in their late teens or early 20s rode past her on BMX-style bikes. One man grabbed her purse. The woman struggled but was not injured, the report said.

One man was wearing long basketball shorts and a sleeveless shirt. The other was wearing tan cargo pants, police said. They rode through the parking garage at street level and out of sight.
