Show ‘N Shine fund-raiser July 31

The Northwest Cruisers (Spokane area chapter of the Chrysler PT Cruiser Club) and Big Daddy’s are presenting a Show ‘N Shine to raise money for the Shawn Higgins Memorial and Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.

The event will from noon to 4 p.m. on July 31 at the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center on 29th Avenue. Please have your car on hand no later than 11 a.m. or earlier.

Trophies will be awarded for first, second and third place for the Show ‘N Shine along with the trunk display award. A trunk display is unique to the PT Cruiser because of the rear hatch opening, where a shelf becomes a table to display many different items. Owners choose the theme for their shelf display.

There will also be a commercial division “Best of Show” for those that use their PT Cruiser for business.

Dash plaques will go to all entrants and will be included in the registration packet. Vendors will be present to sell accessories, tires, wheels, pin-striping, T-shirts and more.

There will be a barbecue, dunk tank, music, games and prizes. The grand prize is an electric scooter. You may also register for a PT Cruiser give-a-way to be held in September at Big Daddy’s. Big Daddy’s (formerly Silver Lanes) is at the Lincoln Heights Shopping Center.

Entry fee, food sales and game entry fees will be split between the Crisis Nursery and the Higgins Memorial fund. Registration is $10. Send check or money order to: NW Cruisers Fund-raiser, 4630 N Royal Court, Spokane, WA 99205.
