Ninth Annual “Remember Jerry Music Festival” – hosted by Camp Eureka to benefit North Idaho Youth and Camp Eureka. This festival will feature a wide variety of musical styles and talent to commemorate and pay tribute to Jerry Garcia. The outdoor event will offer food concessions, a beer garden, arts and crafts booths and ample camping space on 40 acres 18 miles south of Sandpoint, in Sagle. $20 in advance or $22 at the gate includes parking and camping. The Downtown Coeur d’Alene Concert Series – Bakra Bata, a steel drum band, will perform in Sherman Square Park Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. Bad weather moves the concert to the Coeur d’Alene Resort Plaza. Information: 667-3162.

Performance by the African Children’s Choir – Friday at 7 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley. This is an internationally acclaimed choir consisting of children ages 5-12 from some of the neediest areas of Africa. The concert is free and open to the public. Information: 765-8800.

“Peacock’s War” – Legendary grizzly bear expert and author Doug Peacock speaks at the showing of the award-winning film Saturday at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint, at 7:30 p.m. $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Information: 263-9191.

Classes
