June home sales remain brisk in Spokane County

A total of 853 homes were sold during the month of June in Spokane County, according to the Multiple Listing Service of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®.

The average sales price was $150,260. Total dollar volume during June was $128.1 million.

Newly constructed homes accounted for 93 sales that averaged $209,439.

Year-to-date figures show 3,378 homes were sold through June of this year compared with 3,074 homes purchased during the same period a year ago. Total dollar volume through June of 2004 was $474.4 million compared with $399.7 million during 2003.

In the Valley: 202 homes — 33 of them new construction — were sold at an average price of $163,580. Dollar volume was $33.0 million.

In the South: 218 homes were sold at an average price of $180,555. Nineteen were new construction. Total dollar volume was $39.3 million.

In the Northwest: 247 homes sold at an average price of $150,549. Twenty-eight of the homes were new construction. Dollar volume was $37.1 million.

In the Northeast: 235 homes, two of them new construction, were sold at an average price of $87,671. Dollar volume was $11.8 million.

In other parts of Spokane County: A total of 51 homes — 11 of them new construction — sold at an average price of $132,287. Dollar volume was $6.7 million.
