Hotels offering summer specials

It’s the season for summer hotel specials.

Three Oregon hotels invite guests to bid on a rate. Participants include The Resort at the Mountain in Welches, near Mount Hood ( www.theresort.com), Eugene’s Valley River Inn ( www.valleyinn.com) and The Salishan Lodge and Resort ( www.salishan.com) on the coast. A limited number of rooms are available. The first two properties limit bids to dates within two weeks.

The two-night Rock ‘N’ Roll package at the Memphis Marriott Downtown is $349 through Dec. 30. It includes breakfast and two tickets to Graceland, the Rock ‘N’ Soul Museum and Sun Studios. Contact: (888) 426-5236; cite rate code XEAA; www.memphismarriottdowntown.com.

Country music fans can get Club Level rooms at the Millennium Maxwell House, Nashville, from $149 for a double. Guestrooms are on a keyed access floor and provide complimentary alcoholic beverages and snacks, breakfast buffet, a complimentary movie, use of the library and highspeed internet access. More than 30 Orlando hotels offer specials at www.orlandoinfo.com running from $49 to $225 per night. Also note: two-night Summertime, Familytime vacation packages (from $550), include accommodations, one-day admission to Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando and Gatorland for four.

In Hawaii, the Radisson Kauai Beach Resort offers a Bed and Breakfast in Paradise rate from $159 airport transfers and buffet breakfast for two. A Family Package at $219, includes daily breakfast buffet for four, and one free in-room movie or an hour of Sony Play Station. Both packages include Polynesian dance show. Cherry Valley Lodge, 25 miles east of Columbus, Ohio, is the nation’s only hotel designated an official Arboretum and Botanical Garden. It has a reproduction Wild West town and kid activities. Summer rates from $139. (800—)788-8008; www.cherryvalleylodge.com.
