Inland Northwest Blood Center – Citywide blood drive ends today at 1341 Northwood Center Court. Information: (800) 423-0151.

“You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” – Presented by the Looking Glass Theater Co. today at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m., at the Panida Theater in Sandpoint. Cost: $15 adults, $9 students 18 and under, $6 children 13 and under. Information: 263-9191.

Forest Organic Debris and Slash Program – Preregister by today for the July 9 program at the USFS Priest River Experimental Forest, 13 miles north of Priest River. 11th annual Bead Stampede – today from noon-5 p.m, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in Building 3 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. It’s free. Information: 676-9957.

Bayview Daze – today through Sunday, with arts and crafts on Main Street from 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Parade Saturday at 11 a.m. and lighted boat parade at dusk, followed by fireworks. Boat parade awards Sunday at noon at the Captain’s Wheel restaurant.

Program on the Bald Eagle at Heyburn State Park – Meet at Hawley’s Landing Amphitheater at 8 p.m. for this camp fire program with patriotic bingo and family games. Saturday meet at Hawley’s Landing at 11 a.m. for junior rangers, nature hike at 2:30 p.m., and a themed cruise on the St. Joe River at 8 p.m. On Sunday there will be games at 11 a.m. Information and registration for the cruise: 686-4030.

Kootenai County Democratic Club – will meet at the Iron Horse restaurant at noon. The speaker will be Marilyn Howard, state superintendent of public instruction. Information: 777-1588.

Kootenai County Farmers’ Market – Saturday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., with entertainment by Daniel Jaklich followed by Bill Turner. The market is at Highway 95 and Prairie Ave. Information: 772-2290.

Lighted Boat Parade – Saturday, at dark about 10 p.m., on Lake Coeur d’Alene . along the shoreline from The Cedars Floating Restaurant, continuing toward the Coeur d’Alene Resort and around Tubbs Hill to the Silver Beach Marina. Twenty 35-40 foot boats will participate.

Sandpoint Grand Parade and Variety Show – Downtown Kiddie Parade Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by Grand Parade at 10 a.m. Free variety show, face painting and live music will be at City Beach from 11:30 a.m. until the Fireworks display at approximately 9:45 p.m. The Albeni Falls Pipes and Drums will kick off the concert, followed by Stoik (heavy metal), District of Insomnia (alternative), No Cover (alternative), Lance Marley (country), Muskrat Ramblers (blue grass), Five Fingered Mary (pop), and Dusk Illusion 33 (funk). Summer Sounds at Park Place – Time Machine will perform Saturday, noon-2 p.m., at the park, 330 N. First Ave., Sandpoint. It is free.

Fourth of July in Coeur d’Alene – Food and craft vendors begin at 11 a.m. in City Park, with the American Heroes Parade beginning at noon with a flyover from Fairchild Air Force Base. Manito performs at 2 p.m. in city park, and Charlie Butts and the Filter Tips take the stage at 5:30 p.m. Spectacular fireworks at dusk.

Fourth of July Cruise to Harrison – Depart from the Chatcolet Marina in Heyburn State Park at 8 p.m., and return about midnight after viewing the fireworks display put on by the City of Harrison. Cost: $14.95 adults, $9.95 youths, free for children under age 5. Information and reservations: 686-4030.

Massage-A-Thon – The Boys and Girls Club of Kootenai County will be holding this fund-raising event at the Coeur d’Alene City Park on the Fourth of July. Massage therapists will be offer free massages, 3-9 p.m., with local businesses pledging 10 cents a minute. Proceeds will go toward construction funds for a youth facility. Information: 659-2726.

Special music at First Presbyterian Church – The church and the Northwest Sacred Music Chorale will perform the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” by Wilhausky Sunday, 11:30 a.m., at the church, 521 Lakeside. This is open to any singers in the community, so show up for rehearsal Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Men and women in uniform, past or present, are encouraged to attend. Coeur d’Alene Public Library – will be closed Sunday and Monday in observance of Independence Day. The library will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
