Inquiring minds want to know: How are sensational Greater Spokane League point guards Reagan Pariseau and Briann January going to co-exist when January, a senior at Lewis and Clark, joins the local connection at Arizona State next fall?

“I’m envisioning them playing together quite a bit, that’s how I saw them with the Spokane Stars and they were just amazing together,” Sun Devils coach Charli Turner Thorne said. “We want to be a transition team. We want to be one of the best teams in the nation. If you have Regan and Briann in the backcourt, you’re never going to get pressed effectively, you’ve got scoring, you’ve got phenomenal defense.”

Pariseau, a freshman from Central Valley, is averaging 18.3 minutes a game at ASU playing behind and with senior point guard Kylan Loney, who averages 24.8 minutes. Turner Thorne plays 11 players at least 10 minutes a game.

“That’s something we talked about when we recruited Bri,” Turner Thorne said. “We’re not recruiting you to have you play against Regan for three years. You two guys were phenomenal together. But it’s going to be the same thing, I’m not going to be able to play them together all the time because I need one of them in the game almost all the time.

“But I’m excited to have that backcourt out there together. I think they complement each other so well. That last summer they played together I saw almost every game they played. I don’t want to sound corny or anything, but it was electric.”
