Election information sources

The Spokesman-Review

With no county in Eastern Washington printing a voters guide for this primary, the next best thing is to get on a computer. If you don’t have one, most public libraries do.

Try these Web sites:

http://vote.wa.gov/guide/: An online voters guide compiled by the secretary of state’s office, includes photos and statements from each candidate.

www.spokesmanreview.com: Scroll down and click on “Election Central” for detailed candidate profiles, key issues and recent news stories about the races. The Spokesman-Review will also publish a guide for the general election in its Oct. 26 editions.

www.votewashington.org: Information on the races, tailored to residents in Spokane, Whitman, Lincoln, Ferry, Pend Oreille, Douglas, Garfield and Asotin counties.

www.co.stevens.wa.us/auditor/election/index.htm: Click on “voter’s pamphlet.” For Stevens County residents.

www.washingtonvoter.org: A clunky Web site, but includes basic information about the candidates, tailored to your home address or ZIP code.
