NEW FACES

Mandee Ennis has recently been hired at Hart Capital Management Inc. She was hired for her experience in operations and administrative support and was previously with a firm based in New York.

Inland Northwest Health Services has recently hired Steve Becker as director of communications. Becker was previously the media relations manager for Avista Corp.

Dr. Tiffany Haddock has recently been hired at Spokane Emergency Medicine Association. Haddock practices emergency medicine and is a 2001 graduate of Johns Hopkins University. She completed her residence and internship at the University of New Mexico earlier this year. She has been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Spokane Eye Clinic has recently hired Dr. Barbara Smit as an ophthalmologist. Smit is a 1995 graduate of the University of Washington and completed her internship and residency at UW in 1999. She has also been recently accepted as a member in the Spokane County Medical Society.

Troy Johnson has recently been hired at OMS Inc. as an architectural project manager. He was previously a project manager at Studio Meng Strazzara in Seattle.

The North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate has recently hired Ruth Hartman as a sales associate. Hartman is returning to real estate after a 21 year absence to raise a family, manage rental properties and assist her husband with his construction business.

Joe Hertz has recently been hired at the North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate as a sales associate.

The North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate has recently hired Dennis Nichols as a sales associate. Nichols previously worked in network architectural design at AT&T in Spokane and is a member of the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council.

Lani Terrell has recently been hired at the North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate as a sales associate. Terrill earned her master’s degree in psychology from Chaminade University and is new to real estate.

The North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate has recently hired Patrick Tutwiler as a sales associate. He has 17 years of experience in the family service industry and spent 10 years as owner of a contractual remodeling company in Southern California.

Judy Wetzel has recently been hired at the North Wall Street office of Windermere Real Estate. Wetzel was previously a sales associate at Arizona Mountain Properties in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Country Insurance and Financial Services has recently hired Dennis Kane as an agent at its Spokane office.

Dr. Deborah Vermaire has recently been hired at Shriners Hospitals as a pediatric anesthesiologist. She is a graduate of Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. And the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Vermaire has been a practicing anesthesiologist in Spokane since 2002.

Marsh Advantage America has recently hired Keith McNally as a commercial and surety client executive. He was previously at St. Paul/Travelers where he managed the Spokane surety bond operations.

Jeff Scalph has recently been hired at Marsh Advantage America as a technical consultant. He was previously a stop-loss underwriter and provider network analyst for Safeco in Seattle.

Action Mortgage Company has recently hired T. Michael Yocum as vice president and regional construction manager. He has more than 10 years of banking and commercial real estate lending experience and was previously a district manager for Imperial Capital Bank.

Brian Read has recently been hired at Sterling Savings Bank as consumer credit manager. He has over 10 years of banking experience and was previously a senior vice president and district manager for Puget Sound-area branches of U.S. Bank.

Sterling Savings Bank has recently hired John Quigley as assistant vice president and cash management sales manager. He was previously a casualty unit claims manager and agency manager for Allstate Insurance and received his bachelor’s degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kan.

Jeffrey Bendowsky has recently been hired at Affordable Hearing in Coeur d’Alene as a hearing instrument specialist. He was previously employed by Alcoa at Northwest Alloys in Addy, Wash.

He completed his internship in 2000 at Methodist Hospital and his residency in 2003 at Indiana University. He has been accepted for membership with the Spokane County Medical Society.

Beverly Hatch has recently been hired at Unicep Packaging as a sales representative. Hatch has over 20 years of business-to-business sales experience and was previously director of food-service sales for Litehouse Inc. in Sandpoint.

The Bank of Fairfield has recently hired Rob Stephens as its chief financial officer. He was previously CFO of Community Health Association of Spokane and was a financial analyst for other financial services institutions.

Jake Holling has recently been hired at Bank of Fairfield as a financial analyst. He is a recent graduate of Washington State University with a degree in business and finance.

KUDOS

Lake Roosevelt Realty in Davenport, Wash., has recently been awarded United Country Real Estate’s President’s Round Table Award for its sales achievements through the second quarter of 2004. The office is owned and operated by Sherie Wardian.

Wes Teterud, an agent with New York Life Insurance Company, has recently qualified for the company’s 2004 Million Dollar Round Table.

Two television commercials for Sterling Savings Bank have recently received Telly Awards. The awards honor outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs. The two commercials are titled, “Little Girl Coach” and “Too Tall.”

The Microsoft PacWest District office has recently awarded Aurora Consulting Group with the Microsoft General Manager Award for Commitment to Excellence. The company was selected from approximately 600 Microsoft partners in the West Region.

University of Idaho professor of animal and veterinary science Gordon Woods has recently been named Idaho’s Veterinarian of the Year. Woods led the team that produced the first equine clone in 2003.

Kootenai Medical Center has recently received the distinction of being named one of the country’s “100 Most Wired” health care organizations. This is the fifth time in six years that the hospital has received this designation. The hospital was also named one of the nation’s top 25 “Most Wireless” as well.

Kelli Frederick, a dietitian at LifeCare Solutions in Spokane, has recently received the Washington State Dietetic Association’s Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award. She is also an on-call dietitian at Sacred Heart’s Children’s Hospital on the pediatric and NICU floors.

PROMOTED

Sterling Savings Bank has recently promoted Ed Allen to vice president and district manager of the bank. He has been a team leader of private banking at the bank since 1996 and has over 30 years of commercial banking experience.

APPOINTED

Ian Atkinson has recently been appointed to the position of vice president of exploration and strategy at Hecla Mining Co. in Coeur d’Alene. Atkinson was previously an independent management consultant to Hecla.
