Some people don’t like winter.

And some people don’t like small children.

But is there anyone who doesn’t get a kick out of seeing little kids dressed in snowsuits?

If so, those people can turn the page.

Bundled up in puffy cocoons that make them look like tiny astronauts exploring a frozen asteroid, kids in snowsuits are a cold-climate classic.

The word that comes to mind is “huggable.”

There’s a reason people enjoy that scene in the movie “A Christmas Story.” You know the one in which Ralphie’s snowsuit-clad younger brother Randy topples and cannot get up. It’s because a lot of us have been there and then lived through hearing about it over the years.

And when snowsuit alums get a chance to outfit their own children in these get-ups, smiles aren’t scarce.

Surely the appeal has something to do with these garments being symbolic of everything sweet and innocent. And maybe it’s all about a desire to all but smother kids in love.

But one thing is sure. Winter wouldn’t be the same without them.
