Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: Here’s a hint from my own mother. Take the birth certificate when your child is born or your own birth certificate and put it in a 5-by-7-inch frame. You will always know where it is and it will stay in perfect condition.

Keep it in a drawer and you will always have it safe and clean. I am 50 years old and all my children’s birth certificates were framed and saved for them. When they left home each one got their birth certificate in a frame to take along. - Iris Kuhr, Malta, N.Y.

An original birth certificate kept in good condition is surely a wonderful keepsake.

You are a doll for writing. - Heloise

Here are some handy uses for buttons:

Sew on a T-shirt or hat as decorations.

Put on the end of drawstrings.

Use for various craft projects.

Give to children to string.- Heloise
