City’s Acting Finance Director Wins Job

The City Council appointed a new finance director Tuesday night, filling a vacancy left when the former finance director took a job in Montana.

Shelly Enderud, who has been acting finance director since October, was given the job permanently. Enderud had been the accounting supervisor in the finance department since June. She formerly worked as an accounting and systems manager for W.T.B. Inc. in Post Falls.

Enderud was one of 45 candidates who applied for the finance director position formerly held by Brentt Ramharter. Ramharter left to become city treasurer in Missoula.

Enderud will coordinate all the city’s financial operations.

Enderud, who has lived in the area throughout her life, has an associate’s degree in business administration from North Idaho College and a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from Lewis-Clark State College.
