Teen People, the new magazine by the makers of People magazine, hits the stands Jan. 9. But hey, they want you to be more than just consumers of the magazine; they want you to contribute.

Teen People is looking for trendspotters who will try out new products, participate in surveys and receive free samples, all in the name of providing a measure of what’s “cool” to teens. They’re also looking for writers who can spot and follow through on news stories. They also have an online site where you can report on trends or apply to be in a future fashion shoot for the magazine.

NewsCurrents Student Editorial Cartoon Contest is open to students in grades K-12. Designed to give students an avenue to voice their political views. Deadline is March 1.
