Led by reserve Liz Paulson’s 17 points, five players scored in double figures for Pepperdine as the Waves defeated Gonzaga 75-56 in the opening round of the West Coast Conference tournament at Santa Clara, Calif.
Gonzaga was led by Staci Andrews, who scored 17 points - more than twice the total of any teammate - and grabbed five rebounds. Tennille Jeffries led Gonzaga with seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs were within 29-26 at halftime, despite shooting 27 percent.
The loss ends Gonzaga’s season.

Eastern Washington was led by forward Julie Moore, who had 18 points and 10 rebounds, a game high. Center Juli Carlson added nine points and eight rebounds and forward Tracy Ford had nine points and seven rebounds.
EWU ended its season at 4-22.
