Irs Officials Available Wednesday For Tax Help

The Internal Revenue Service is here to help you.

On Wednesday, IRS officials will be available from noon to 8 p.m. at the agency’s offices to help solve taxpayers’ problems. Whether its non-filing or lost refunds, the IRS agents will give free assistance to help prepare you for the April 15 filing deadline.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (800) 829-1040 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. Calling ahead will assure that the office will have the proper documentation in hand.

Federal Reserve releases its January industrial production report.

The annual research review for the Washington State Potato Commission and Washington State University is held through Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express in Pullman.

The Spokane Area Economic Development Council holds its annual meeting at 4 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel City Center.

The Annual Idaho Ag Summit is held through Wednesday at the Boise Center on the Grove. Participants will debate high priority issues including water quality regulations, electric deregulation and control of noxious weeds. For information, call 208-342-2688.

The Northern Idaho Coeur d’Alene Business Forum is held from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Inn. The forum invites small businesses to meet with the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory’s representatives. For information or to register, call 208-526-1375.

The U.S. Labor Department releases producer prices for January.

Thursday

The U.S. Commerce Department releases its international trade report for December.

The National Association of Women Business owners will hold a seminar for women in business from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Spokane Intercollegiate Research and Technology Institute, 665 N. Riverpoint Blvd. Jan Ekstrom, owner of a real estate company, will speak.

Saturday

Moneytalk 98, a personal finance exposition, is held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Spokane International Ag Trade Center. The keynote speech, which will be given by author and advisor Harry S. Dent, Jr., starts at 11 a.m. For information, call 509-459-5005.
