Plummer Awarded Grant For Water System
The Idaho Water Resource Board approved a $5,000 grant Friday for the city of Plummer.
The grant will be used to help finance improvements to the city’s drinking water system.
The board approved 10 loans and grants totalling $460,000. The board also instructed its staff to gather information so it can take action on a request from the city of Pocatello for a $1.4 million issue of water resource development bonds.
The city wants to create a groundwater treatment facility to deal with a problem of trichloroethylene in the city’s drinking water source. Trichloroethylene (TCE) is a known carcinogen. , DataTimes
