Council Oks Repaving Projects
Streets and alleys all over Spokane’s North Side are getting a makeover. The City Council on Monday approved plans for six repaving projects, many of them paid for through local improvement districts.
The council:
Approved a contract for $9,247 with Inland Asphalt Company of Spokane to pave the alley between Cleveland and Grace avenues from Alberta to Cochran streets.
Approved a contract for $227,966 with Acme Materials and Construction Company of Spokane to pave and add curbs and sidewalks to Cleveland from Haven to Greene streets, Fairview from Haven to Greene, and Haven from Grace to Euclid avenues.
Approved a contract for $14,082 with Acme to pave the alley between Montgomery and Mansfield avenues from Monroe to Lincoln streets.
Approved a contract for $11,731 with Shamrock Paving Inc., of Spokane, to pave the alley between Garland and Providence avenues from “G” to “F” streets.
Ordered the paving of the alley between Central and Columbia avenues from Standard Street to 300 feet east.
Ordered the paving of the alley between Crown and Everett avenues
