Unabomber Defense Granted Documents Of Fbi Lab Probe
Prosecutors must give Unabomber suspect Theodore Kaczynski’s lawyers complete documents of the government’s investigation into mishandling of evidence in the FBI crime lab, a judge ruled Friday.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gregory Hollows also ordered Kaczynski’s attorneys to give prosecutors a tentative list of witnesses they intend to call by Oct. 18. Jury selection in the trial is expected to start Nov. 12.
The orders, along with other rulings on technical matters, were issued Friday following a hearing Monday.
Kaczynski, a 55-year-old former math professor, faces 10 charges in Sacramento involving four of the 16 bombings attributed to the terrorist known as the Unabomber.
