Man Still Serious After Car Accident

A Spokane man remained in serious condition at Deaconess Medical Center late Tuesday after being thrown from his car in a one-car accident in Lincoln County.

Del R. Olson, 50, was driving westbound on Interstate 90 just east of Sprague about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday when his 1986 Saab drifted onto the south shoulder, Washington State Patrol troopers said.

He overcorrected, lost control of the car and slid off the north side of the road. The car rolled into a barbed wire fence and Olson was ejected, troopers said.

Olson was not wearing a seat belt.
