Pair Arrested After Alleged Drug Deal

From Staff And Wire Reports

Two men thought to have ties to a California gang were arrested in downtown Spokane on drug charges Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Eric Anderson, 24, and Antonio Crawford, 27, both of Spokane, were stopped after an undercover officer saw them sell drugs to a woman near Second and Post, police said.

A search of the pair’s car turned up a plastic bag full of crack cocaine on the driver’s seat and more drugs under the seat, authorities said.

Corrections officers found another bag of crack cocaine hidden in one of Anderson’s body cavities when he was booked into jail, police said.

Anderson was charged with possession and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance. Crawford was booked on a drug possession charge.

Police also seized several hundred dollars, two pagers and a pit bull from the suspects’ car.
