Vigneault To Coach Canadiens

Alain signed a contract Saturday to become the next head coach of the Montreal Canadiens, according to a published report.

Canadiens spokesman Donald Beauchamp said he was unaware that a contract had been signed or that an announcement on the new coach was impending.
