Florida State outfielder J.D. Drew was named college baseball’s National Player of the Year after leading the Seminoles to a top seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament. Drew, a likely top pick in next month’s draft, hit .472 with 28 home runs and 94 runs batted in over 61 games. … Former Oregon City High School basketball star Tammy Arnold plans to transfer from Connecticut to Oregon State because she wants more playing time.
