Jirsa Replaces Smith At Georgia

While Tubby Smith has moved to Kentucky, his legacy remains at the school he left behind.

Ron Jirsa, the top men’s basketball assistant at Georgia under Smith, was named his successor. This is Jirsa’s first head coaching job after 15 years as an assistant. He spent the last six years working for Smith - four seasons at Tulsa and two at Georgia.
