6-Year Lacrosse Streak Ends
The College of New Jersey women’s lacrosse team’s 102-game winning streak came to an end as Middlebury College defeated the Lions 14-9 in the NCAA Division III championship game.
The loss was the Lions’ first since April 14, 1991. Middlebury (17-1) won the championship for the first time. Emily Bracken made 13 saves for Middlebury, and teammate Amy DiAdamo led all scorers with six goals and an assist.
In the Division I women’s championship, Maryland defeated Loyola of Maryland 8-7.
