Favre Won’t Skip Camp

Compiled From Wire Services

Brett Favre’s agent says he expects his client to attend the Green Bay Packers’ minicamp next month and training camp in July even if he doesn’t have a new contract.

Two news reports last week suggested the two-time MVP quarterback might sit out in protest of not having a new deal despite more than a year of negotiations.

Favre’s agent, Bus Cook, said recent talks with the Packers have been productive and that Favre is not making his presence contingent upon having a new contract.

The Oakland Raiders, who have spent much of the off-season stockpiling offensive linemen, added another by signing free agent Lester Holmes.

Holmes, who started 14 games for Philadelphia last season, was cut by the Eagles and signed with the Raiders after working out for several teams.

Backup quarterback Sean LaRocca threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Sean Foster with 15 seconds left to give the Rhein Fire a 21-20 WLAF victory over the Frankfurt Galaxy in Frankfurt, Germany.
