Emma Roecks Spokane

Service for Emma “Mrs. Ruben” Roecks will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roecks, who was born in Anamoose, N.D., died Tuesday. She was 86.

In 1923 she married Ruben Roecks in Fairfield, where they were co-owners of Farmers Alliance and a machinery dealership.

They later moved to the Spokane Valley, where they retired.

Mrs. Roecks is preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include two brothers, Karl Kuehner of Moscow, Idaho, and John Kuehner of Palouse, Wash.; a sister, Pauline Nygaard of Potlatch, Idaho; three grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Fairfield.

Charlotte Haneberg Vancouver, Wash.

Memorial service for Charlotte Mae Haneberg, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parkrose United Church of Christ in Portland. Inurnment will be at Rose City Cemetery in Portland. Telophase Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Haneberg, who was born in Lignite, N.D., died Wednesday.

She moved to Spokane in 1963 from Portland and then moved to Vancouver 10 years ago.

Mrs. Haneberg was a homemaker.

Her husband, Richard Haneberg, died in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Paul Haneberg of Battle Ground, Wash,; a daughter, Laura Curnan of Auburn, Wash.; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James O. Haley Hayden, Idaho

Burial for James O. Haley, 80, will be held later in Sumner, Wash. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Haley, who was born in Wisconsin, died Thursday.

He grew up in Wisconsin and Michigan and moved to North Idaho as a young man.

Mr. Haley worked for the Bunker Hill Mining Co., retiring in 1981. He moved to Hayden in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Larry Haley of Spokane; a daughter Patricia Smith of Sumner; a stepson, Pat Daugherty of Ohio; four stepdaughters, Yvonne Ladis of Pasco, Sherri Gunderson of Post Falls, and Vicki Bowman and Terri Salyers, both of Coeur d’Alene; four brothers, Norman Haley of Puyallup, Wash., Vilas Haley of Montana, and Jack and Pat Haley, both of Sumner; a sister, Inez Bronson of Sumner; and 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Edna Leslie Bonners Ferry, Idaho

Graveside service for Edna Johanna Leslie, 90, was held Saturday at the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Leslie, who was born in Butte, Mont., died Thursday.

She moved to Bonners Ferry in the 1930s and settled in the Turner Hill area. She married Keith Leslie in Libby, Mont., in 1939 and lived just outside of Bonners Ferry until moving to the Three Mile area in 1965.

Mrs. Leslie later settled in the Leslie Springs area before moving into Bonners Ferry in 1986. She recently moved to the Extended Care Facility.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include a grandson, Todd Johnston; a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Leslie Johnston; a stepson, Robert Leslie; and many nieces and nephews.

Hazel Friberg Port Orchard, Wash.

Service for Hazel Elizabeth Friberg, 82, will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Post Falls. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls. Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Friberg, formerly of Post Falls, died Friday.

She was born in South Dakota and moved to Post Falls in 1952.

Mrs. Friberg was a homemaker and was active in Church of the Nazarene activities.

Her husband, Glenn, died in 1983.

She moved to Port Orchard in 1992 to be near family.

Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Babcock of Port Orchard; and two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

Norma McMullin Rathdrum, Idaho

Burial for Norma Faithe McMullin, 73, will be held later at the Riverside National Cemetery in California. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene is in charge of local arrangements.

Mrs. McMullin, who was born in Fresno, Calif., died Thursday.

She moved to North Idaho in 1995 from California and was a retired real estate broker.

Mrs. McMullin was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard.

Survivors include three sons, Michael McMullin of Rathdrum, Steven McMullin of Virginia and Dennis McMullin of California.
