Skinheads Terrorize Berlin Commuter Train

Compiled From Wire Services

About 20 skinheads rampaged through a commuter train in Berlin on Thursday, shouting neo-Nazi slogans, throwing bottles and kicking and punching passengers.

Three passengers were injured in the incident in the Koepenik district, police said. Seven suspects were arrested and face possible charges of incitement, disturbing the peace and causing bodily injury, police said. The other assailants escaped.

In southeastern Germany, meanwhile, vandals overturned 25 gravestones in a Jewish cemetery in the town of Busenberg. Another 65 gravestones were spray-painted with swastikas and anti-Semitic slogans, such as “Jews die.”
