Sex Offender Living In Spokane

A convicted sex offender released from prison this week is living in downtown Spokane.

John Wayne Schickling, 51, is not currently wanted by authorities but is considered a high risk to re-offend, police said.

Schickling was convicted in 1990 of indecent liberties and two counts of first-degree child molestation. His victims were between the ages of 4 and 10 years old, police said.

According to the conditions of his release, Schickling is to have no contact with his victims or their families. He also is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with any other children.

Schickling is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. , DataTimes ILLUSTRATION: Photo
