Man Passes Six Bogus Bills

From Staff Reports

A man passed six phony $100 bills at Spokane’s NorthTown Mall on Wednesday, police said.

The man went into at least seven stores between 2 and 3 p.m. and made small purchases, usually totaling less than $15.

A clerk at one business recognized a bill as counterfeit and refused to accept it, police said.

The suspect was a white man between 25 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 5 and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red plaid baseball cap, blue shirt and blue jeans.

A blonde woman in her early 20s was with him in some of the stores, police said. She was about 5 feet 6 and 140 pounds.
