One Dead In Mobile Home Fire

One person died in an early morning fire that destroyed a mobile home south of town Friday, the Stevens County sheriff’s office said.

The home in Panorama Trailer Court was engulfed in flames when authorities arrived at 3:54 a.m., sheriff’s officials said. The body was found inside.

Authorities were unsure of the victim’s identity and gender. An autopsy was scheduled Monday in Spokane.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation. No further details were released.
