Tot’s Foot, Lost To Power Mower, Reattached

Doctors at Harborview Medical Center are waiting to see if a 4-year-old Renton boy regains the use of his left foot after part of it was amputated by a power mower.

The boy’s foot was reattached after the Tuesday accident.

The hospital says he was the fifth child brought to the emergency room this year with injuries from a power mower.

The boy’s aunt was baby-sitting him at her home in the Maple Valley area. She was mowing her lawn and didn’t see him walk up from behind.
