Cda Clears The Road For Hot Rods
Some of the hottest hot rods that ever cruised the roads will be on display in Coeur d’Alene this weekend.
Hundreds of vintage automobiles will line the downtown streets as part of the seventh annual Car d’Lane Classic Car Show.
In past years, the show has drawn more than 450 restored and refurbished vehicles, including a 1910 Model T and a 1915 Dodge Roadster. The public is invited to stroll down automotive memory lane and talk with the car owners.
The event, sponsored by the North Idaho Classic Car Club and Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association, kick starts Friday night with a classic car cruise.
Starting at 7 p.m. the fancy rigs will rumble along Sherman and Lakeside avenues from Second to Seventh streets.
On Saturday, the classic car show starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until 3 p.m. with award ceremonies to follow. A vendor’s alley will be set up along Fifth Street between Lakeside Avenue and Front Street.
A ‘50s dance will be held Saturday night at the Coeur d’Alene Resort from 7:30 p.m. until midnight. Men in the Making will be the featured band.
Tickets cost $10 and a prize drawing will be held for those who dress in ‘50s attire.
