One Killed, 5 Hurt In Shootings

A gunman sprayed patrons with gunfire as they left a Washington nightclub early Sunday, killing a man and wounding five other people.

Sgt. Joseph Gentile, spokesman for District of Columbia police, said the shootings occurred about 3 a.m. outside as d’Carchet Club near the Maryland border closed for the night.

Investigators did not know why the gunman fired.
