Wv’s Gregorak Chooses Colorado Buffs Beat Out 10 Other Major-College Programs
West Valley linebacker Ty Gregorak announced Tuesday he has chosen the University of Colorado to continue his football career.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound athlete was a four-year starter at linebacker for the Eagles. He chose the Buffaloes over 10 other suitors.
“It came down to Stanford, Colorado and Ohio State,” said Gregorak. “I was still considering the University of Washington because it is close to home. I just told them I think Colorado is the spot for me.”
Gregorak was recruited as a middle linebacker for a scheme in which graduating senior Matt Russell ended up winning the Butkus Award as the nation’s top linebacker.
Gregorak said his priorities will be to improve his strength and speed.
“I’m already 250 pounds and for a linebacker you don’t have to get much bigger,” he said.
