Byron ‘Bo’ Henry Spokane
Graveside service for Byron T. “Bo” Henry, 84, will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Colfax (Wash.) Cemetery. Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Henry, who died Thursday, was born in Endicott, Wash.
He graduated from Endicott High School and attended Washington State College, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
He was a longtime Colfax insurance and real estate broker and had served as mayor of Colfax in 1944.
He was chairman of the Whitman County Ration Board during World War II and former president of the Colfax Chamber of Commerce and was active in the Republican Party. He was also involved in obtaining the property for the Colfax Airport and the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds.
He had lived in Spokane for the past 19 years.
Mr. Henry was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge 21, York Rite Masons, El Katif Shrine Temple, the Prosperity Club and the Empire Club.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary; a daughter, Nancy Brandon of Vancouver, Wash.; three sons, John Henry of Colfax, William Henry of Spokane and Byron Henry of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Margaret Henry of San Francisco; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or the Hutton Settlement.
Robert Zinkgraf Spokane
Memorial service for Robert O. Zinkgraf, 66, will be at 11 a.m. today at Mountain View Assembly of God. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Zinkgraf died Dec. 20.
He was born in Spokane and graduated from Gonzaga Prep, where he played football.
He joined the Coast Guard after high school and served from 1948 to 1951.
He worked for Safeway stores as a produce manager and retired due to a disability.
He attended Spokane Community College.
His wife of 27 years, Patricia Zinkgraf, died in November.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Marrs of Eugene, Ore., three sons, Gene Zinkgraf of Bend, Ore., Allen Zinkgraf of Eugene and David Zinkgraf, who is serving in the Navy; three stepdaughters, Fredreca Hicks and Dawn Temple, both of Spokane, and Rona Forkner of Deer Park; three stepsons, Bill Mack of Spokane, Rick Temple of Deer Park and Robert Temple of Maui, Hawaii; a sister, Jean Henshaw of Spokane; three brothers, Jack, Jim and Carl Zinkgraf, all of Spokane; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Filippo Colistro Spokane
Vigil service for Filippo Colistro, 74, will be at 7 p.m. today at HennesseySmith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Colistro died Friday.
He was born in Italy and had lived in Spokane for 44 years.
He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1980 after 25 years.
Mr. Colistro was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elvira; two daughters, Frances Lucas of Spokane and Angela DeCaro of Marysville, Wash.; three sons, Michael Colistro of Ontario, Ore., Phillip Colistro of Spokane and Roy Colistro of Marysville; and three grandchildren.

Ira Kimm Rosalia, Wash.
Service for Ira Franklin Kimm, 96, is set for 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Rosalia. Burial will be at the International Order of Odd Fellows Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia. Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kimm died Dec. 31.
He was a lifetime Rosalia resident and operated a greenhouse in Rosalia.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Kimm of Spokane; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Vernon Rice Spokane
Memorial Mass for retired Army Col. Vernon W. Rice is planned for 2:30 p.m. today in the Rockwood Manor social hall. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rice, 87, died Friday.
He was born in Spokane.
He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War and retired as a colonel. He received two awards of the Army Legion of Merit, and the Bronze Star, the Army Commendation Medal, the French Croix de Guerre with Palm, and other U.S. and United Nations awards.
Mr. Rice was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Tau Kappa Epsilon.
He is survived by a son, Jim Rice, and a daughter, Laurie Olson, both of Illinois; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Ruth LaCasse Issaquah, Wash.
Memorial service for Ruth K. LaCasse, a former Spokane resident, was Sunday at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home.
Mrs. LaCasse, 83, died Thursday at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, Wash.
She was born in Stanford, Mont.
She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Louis and served in the Navy as an instructor.
In 1946 she married Pierre LaCasse in Missoula. They moved to Quincy, Wash., in 1949 and to Spokane in 1958.
In Spokane she worked with the developmentally disabled.
She had lived in Issaquah since 1989.
Her husband died in 1985.
Survivors include two daughters, Angele Healy and Jeanne LaCasse, both of Issaquah; three sisters, Mary Gardner of Anaconda, Mont., Patricia Truesdell of Spokane and Martha Johnson of Eugene, Ore.; and two granddaughters.
Connie (Ralph) Burch Spokane
Service for Connie L. (Ralph) Burch, 55, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will be at Marshall Cemetery.
Mrs. Burch died Saturday.
She was born in Spokane and graduated from Spirit Lake (Idaho) High School.
She married David “Dusty” Burch in 1981 in Coeur d’Alene.
She was a member of Westgate Christian Church in Spokane.
Mrs. Burch is survived by her husband; a son, Todd Clary of the HooDoo Valley in Idaho; her parents, Tim and Edna Ralph of Spokane; two sisters, Linda Dawson of Post Falls and Jacci Herron of Davenport, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Vivien Fell Spokane
Service for Vivien L. Fell, 74, is planned for 11 a.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Born in Rice, Wash., Mrs. Fell died Saturday.
She had lived in Spokane for more than 50 years and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Spokane Friends Church and the Women’s Missionary Group.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Carbury of Coeur d’Alene and Lois Cloud of McAlester, Okla.; two sisters, Helen Schudel and Pearl Ball, both of Spokane; her companion, Warren D. Lamson of Camden; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Viola Clark Oldtown, Idaho
Service for Viola O. Clark, 89, was Monday at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Newport, Wash. Burial will follow at the Blanchard (Idaho) Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark died Thursday.
She was born in Coesse, Ind.
She married Austin Clark in Tacoma in 1934. He died in 1986.
Mrs. Clark moved to Oldtown from Orofino, Idaho, in 1952.
A schoolteacher, she taught in Idaho and Washington.
Survivors include five sons, David, Norman and Douglas Clark, all of Alaska, and Dewey and Dennis Clark, both of Oldtown; a sister, Iva Burns of Montana; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Christina ‘Tina’ Goings Spokane
Visitation for Christina “Tina” Goings, 75, is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Private burial will be at the Wilbur (Wash.) Cemetery.
Mrs. Goings died Friday.
She was born in Wilbur and had lived in Spokane for 50 years.
Mrs. Goings was a registered nurse and worked at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital from 1953 until she retired in 1976.
She had worked at Coulee Dam Hospital from 1945 to 1947.
Her husband, Francis Goings, died in 1980.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Barcenas of Shady Oak, Minn., and Donald Goings of Spokane; two daughters, Yvonne Goings of Spokane and Juanita Hupp of Chattaroy; two brothers, Elmer Jurgensen of Seattle and Marion “Luby” Jurgensen of Davenport, Wash.; a sister, Aletha “Jo” Conover of Montebello, Calif.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Veryl Stone Harrington, Wash.
Service for Veryl E. Stone, 97, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Harrington Community Congregational Church. Burial will be at the Harrington Cemetery. Strate Funeral Home of Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stone died Dec. 25.
She was born in Marysville, Calif.
She moved to Harrington when she was 10 and graduated from Harrington High School and Cheney Normal School.
She taught for six years in Washington and Montana.
In 1924 she married Thomas Stone in Spokane. He died in 1975.
She was a member of the Community Congregational Church in Harrington and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Richard Stone of Harrington; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kathleen Grant Medical Lake
No service will be held for Kathleen M. Grant, 84. Burial will be at a later date in Clark Fork, Idaho. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Grant, who died Friday, was born in Canada.
She was raised in Spokane and had lived throughout the Northwest and in Alaska.
She had lived in Spokane for 30 years and had moved to Medical Lake three years ago.
Mrs. Grant is survived by a son, James Grant of Chattaroy; two daughters, Frances Foutz of Medical Lake and Kathleen Foutz of Hayden Lake, Idaho; a sister, Dora Kelley of Spokane; a brother, Bob Shepard of Priest River, Idaho; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Marilyn Wilke Spokane
Memorial service for Marilyn J. Wilke, 52, will be at 1 p.m. today at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash.
Born in Ritzville, Wash., Mrs. Wilke died Friday.
She was a graduate of Lind High School and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Wilke is survived by her husband of 20 years, Charles Wilke; two daughters, Marcie Barnhart of Seattle and Sheila Ray of Spokane; her mother, Eva Frieske of Lind, Wash.; a brother, Stan Haase of Spokane; a sister, Fran Sadler of Renton, Wash.; and a grandson.

Horace Reno Spokane
Visitation for Horace T. Reno, 86, is scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Reno, a 50-year Spokane resident, died Sunday.
He was born in Arvada, Colo.
He worked as a mining engineer for the federal government.
Mr. Reno was a Shriner.
His wife, Ann, died in 1993.
Mr. Reno is survived by a niece, Donna Piquette of El Cajon, Calif.; and a nephew, Mike Nelson of Denver.
Zona Tierney Spokane
Service for Zona E. Tierney, 88, will be at 2 p.m. today at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mrs. Tierney died Saturday.
She was born in Condon, Ore., and was a 55-year Spokane resident.
She was a homemaker and member of the Catholic Church.
Her husband, Jack Tierney, died in 1977.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Tierney of Spokane; three daughters, Bobbie Tierney of Spokane, Joan O’Reilly of Seattle and Jean Ryan of Alberton, Mont.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Dick and Lois Fuller Spokane
Service for Darrell “Dick” and Edna “Lois” Fuller will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Pines Cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Fuller died Friday in a collision on U.S. Highway 395 near Deer Park.
They were 25-year Spokane residents.
Mr. Fuller, 68, was born in Fremont, Neb. He retired from Potlatch Corp.
He invented the D & L Detector, a device used in making plywood, and was also a partner in his daughter’s shop, Ella’s Flowerland, in the Spokane Valley.
Lois Fuller, 65, was born in Thornfield, Mo. She retired from the floral business and had worked as a designer for several floral shops in the Spokane Valley.
They are survived by four daughters, Debbie Fuller, Mary Bunke, Sally Tyler and Ella Sunday; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Harold Miller Spokane
Memorial service for Harold L. Miller, 76, will be at a later date in Ritzville, Wash. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miller died Dec. 31.
He was born and raised in Ritzville and graduated from Ritzville High School.
Mr. Miller served in the Army from 1943 to 1946 and was a radio operator on Okinawa. When he returned from the military, he worked for Safeway stores.
In 1959 he moved to Spokane with his family and went to work for Arden Farms Dairy and later Carnation as a delivery driver. He retired in 1978.
After retirement he worked as an apartment manager for 15 years.
Mr. Miller was a member of Teamsters Union Local 582.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lucille; two sons, Steven and Mark Miller, both of Spokane; two daughters, Kathryn Miller and Margaret Keys, both of Spokane; a sister, Ruby Ahlers of Walla Walla; and four grandchildren.

Percival ‘Woody’ Harris Spokane
Service for Percival Woodrow “Woody” Harris, 83, was Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial was at Riverside Memorial Park.
Mr. Harris, who died Thursday, was born in Nebraska City, Neb.
He moved to Spokane in 1916.
He worked for Dellen Wood Products in Spokane and retired in 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Harris; two daughters, Darlene Turner of Chattaroy and Diana Ives of Spokane; a son, Daryll Harris of Black Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Anna James of Spokane and Neta James of Tampa Bay, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Hannlore ‘Joanne’ Hubbard Spokane
Private service for Hannlore “Joanne” Hubbard, 72, is planned. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of cremation.
Mrs. Hubbard died Friday. She was 72.
She was born in Germany.
Mrs. Hubbard had lived in Spokane for 12 years and previously had lived in California She was a homemaker.
Mrs Hubbard is survived by her husband of 39 years, Jerry Hubbard; four sons, Yoachim Fesel of Germany, Raianer Fesel of Spokane, Michael Gardner of Sacramento, Calif., and Thomas Gardner of Monterey, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Vernon Martin Garfield, Wash.
No service will be held for Vernon W. Martin, 84, at his request. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., is in charge of cremation.
Mr. Martin, who was born in Wolfe City, Texas, died Wednesday.
He worked in road construction and moved to Garfield in 1970.
His wife, Onita, died in 1980.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Bobbie Meeker of Portland.
