Artists Sought For Sandpoint Fair

Applications for booth spaces at the Pend Oreille Arts Council’s 25th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair in Sandpoint are now available.

This year’s participants will be chosen by a panel of jurors.

To receive an application by mail, send a self addressed stamped envelope to: Pend Oreille Arts Council, Sandpoint, ID 83864. The fair will take place Aug. 9-10.

Artists and craftsmen interested in peddling their wares at the ninth annual “s.m.ART Arts and Crafts Festival” July 19-20 in St. Maries can receive a prospectus by mail.

Classes

Classes at Spokane Civic Theatre begin Monday. The 12-week sessions are offered for adults and children in drama, dance, makeup and more. For information on course offerings, call 325-2507.

Art students and artists can learn how to photograph their artwork by enrolling in “How to Photograph Your Artwork,” a workshop presented by Spokane Art School. The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 15 from 1-5 p.m., and is taught by photographer Mason McCuddin. The cost is $30. For additional information, call 328-0900.

Audition

Auditions for Spokane-area youth are being held for the musical “The Kidz,” an updated rendering of “The Wizard of Oz,” at the East Central Community Center on March 3 from 4-6 p.m.

The production coincides with Seafirst Bank’s Slammin’ Arts Fest.

No prior theater experience is required.
