Writing in Harper’s Bazaar, Davis admitted being impressed with Chelsea “for quite a while, and I decided it was time to write something now, as she goes to college… I found myself hoping that she would continue to hold the reserve she has adopted till now.”
Davis had her troubles as a White House brat, ultimately criticizing her father’s policies and publishing a couple of novels that portrayed her family life in a harsh light.
