Hornets Sign Phills

The Charlotte Hornets signed free-agent guard Bobby Phills to a seven-year, $33 million contract, adding one of the National Basketball Association’s best defenders to their roster.

The 27-year-old Phills had spent his six-year career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 10.5 points and 1.22 steals.
