Crew Safe After Navy Helicopter Crashes In The Gulf
A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed Saturday afternoon in the Gulf. All four crew were rescued.
The U.S. Fifth Fleet’s central command in Bahrain said an inflatable boat from the guided-missile frigate USS Rentz retrieved the four sailors after their helicopter crashed into the sea.
One of the sailors was being treated for minor injuries, the Navy said.
The SH-60B helicopter from the USS Rentz went down while conducting routine operations, the statement said.
The Navy was investigating the cause of the crash.
